Author Guidelines for Sriwijaya Journal of Community Empowerments

Journal Editor Policy
The Sriwijaya Journal of Community Empowerments publishes articles on thought, research, and community service within the field of education, particularly related to community empowerment. Topics include the theory and practice of learning, community empowerment strategies, curriculum development, teaching methods, social access, and the impact of community service initiatives.

General Requirements

  1. Manuscript Length: Articles should be between 3000–4000 words, including bibliography, notes, tables, and appendices.
  2. Declaration (optional): A declaration confirming that the article has not been published elsewhere, in any form.
  3. Format:
    • Articles must be typed in Microsoft Word format.
    • Use Times New Roman font, size 12 (bold for headings), and 1.5 line spacing.
    • Margins: 4:2:1:2 with mirror page format.
  4. Article Components:
    • Title: A maximum of 12 words for articles in Indonesian and 10 words for English articles. The title should be in Times New Roman 12, bold, centered.
    • Author's Name: The author's name should be placed below the title, in Times New Roman 11, bold, with no titles or abbreviations. Email addresses should follow the author's name.
    • Abstract: No more than 200 words, written in Indonesian or English. Include research objectives, methods, analytical techniques, and results. Use Times New Roman 11, italicized for English.
    • Keywords: A maximum of 5 keywords, separated by commas. These should be typed in italics (Times New Roman 11), and double-spaced below the abstract.

Section Headings and Content

  1. Introduction:
    • Type the section title in capital letters (Times New Roman, 12, bold, center, black background).
    • The introduction should discuss the background, the urgency and rationalization of activities, literature review, problem-solving plans, activity objectives, and hypothesis development (Times New Roman, 11, normal).
  2. Research Methods:
    • Type the section title in capital letters (Times New Roman, 12, bold, center, black background).
    • The methods section should describe the research approach, scope, operational definitions, research focus, place, population/sample/informants, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods (Times New Roman, 11, normal).
  3. Results and Discussion:
    • Type the section title in capital letters (Times New Roman, 12, bold, center, black background).
    • The results section should present the findings with tables, graphs, or charts as needed. Each table/figure should be numbered and titled. The discussion should interpret the data and relate it to the literature (Times New Roman, 11, normal).
  4. Conclusion & Suggestions:
    • Type the section title in capital letters (Times New Roman, 12, bold, center, black background).
    • The conclusion should summarize the study’s findings and provide suggestions or contributions for application and/or the development of the field (Times New Roman, 11, normal).
  5. References:
    • Type the section title in capital letters (Times New Roman, 12, bold, center, black background).
    • The reference list should follow the APA 7th edition style. It should include sources published within the last 10 years. Authors are required to use credible, peer-reviewed sources. Each entry should be double-spaced and formatted according to APA guidelines (Times New Roman, 11).

Submission Process

  1. Format: Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word format. Use Times New Roman font, 12 pt, single-spaced, with margins set to 4:2:1:2 (mirror page format).
  2. Submission Email (optional): All articles must be sent to sjce_fisip@unsri.ac.id no later than:
    • Early May (for June issue),
    • Early November (for Desember issue).

Submission Checklist

Authors must check off the following criteria before submission:

  • The submission has not been previously published or is under review elsewhere.
  • The file is in Microsoft Word or other accepted formats (RTF, OpenOffice, WordPerfect).
  • URLs for references (if available) have been provided.
  • Text is single-spaced and uses 12-point font.
  • Tables, figures, and illustrations are placed within the text.
  • The manuscript adheres to all the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

 

Copyright Notice

  • Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right of first publication.
  • The work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY-SA 4.0), which allows others to share the work with proper acknowledgment of the authorship and the original publication in Sriwijaya Journal of Community Empowerments.
  • Articles are open access and freely available to the public, supporting global knowledge exchange.
  • Authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before and after submission, leading to earlier and greater citation of their work.
