Peningkatan Kesadaran Bahaya Narkoba melalui Sosialisasi Interaktif bagi Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Loghia, Kabupaten Muna, Sulawesi Tenggara

Abstract

Drug abuse has become a critical issue today, threatening the future of Indonesia's young generation, particularly in areas with limited access to information and education about the dangers of drugs. SMP Negeri 1 Loghia, located in Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, is one such school situated in a small rural area with potential vulnerability to drug influence. This community service activity aimed to raise students' awareness through educational, interactive, and communicative approaches. The implementation methods included interactive counseling sessions, the screening of educational videos, and group discussions to encourage active student participation. The materials were delivered using age-appropriate methods to ensure easy understanding. The results of the activity showed an increase in students’ knowledge about the types of drugs, the harmful effects of drug use, and ways to prevent drug abuse from an early age. Students also demonstrated high enthusiasm and a strong commitment to staying away from drugs. This interactive socialization proved effective in raising awareness and fostering a critical attitude among students toward the dangers of drug abuse. It is hoped that this initiative can serve as a preventive educational model applicable to other schools in remote areas.
