Abstract

Beurawang Village Sabang Aceh has rich natural resources such as coconut, marine products, rocks and corals which have not been optimally utilized due to the limited knowledge and skills of the local community in developing local food preparations. Community service is aimed at developing economically valuable local craft products through the utilization of unused village waste and proper marketing. The activity method is in the form of training and counseling by applying the IKIGAI concept which involves active participation from the community. The results of the activity showed an increase in community insight and skills in innovating waste processing so that the results of handicraft products are more varied and produce economic value. In addition, the community increasingly understands marketing techniques so that the craft products produced are more attractive to tourists as regional characteristics. This program also developed labeling, packaging, and product catalog designs. Product innovation and marketing is one of the important keys so that handicraft products can become one of the resources of Beurawang Village, Sabang, Aceh.
