Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and awareness of junior high school students about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a specific focus on Goal 3, which relates to health. The activity was conducted at SMP Negeri 44 in Palembang, involving 32 students from grades 8. The method used was an interactive lecture, delivering materials on the basic concepts of the SDGs and the importance of health in achieving sustainable goals. Additionally, students were provided with information on healthy living habits, personal hygiene, and the importance of maintaining bodily health as part of their contribution to achieving the SDGs. The results of the pre-test and post-test evaluations showed a significant improvement in students' understanding, with an average increase of 30%. Through this activity, it is hoped that students can comprehend their role in supporting global health and implement the principles of the SDGs in their daily lives. This initiative also highlights the significant potential for educational institutions to contribute to achieving the SDGs through education and learning that addresses both global and local issues.
