Abstract

Public services have evolved over time, particularly in the field of information technology, which has opened new opportunities to improve service quality, including in rural areas. This community service aims to enhance the effectiveness of administrative services at the Purun Village Office, Penukal Subdistrict, PALI Regency through a digital innovation based on Google Forms. Prior to the training, administrative services in the village were still carried out manually, with an average services time of 20 minutes. To address this issue, the Village Development Program (PMD) team introduced the use of Google Forms, which allows residents to submit letter requests online, thereby reducing service time to only 5 minutes. The assistance program was conducted by the students of the Village Development Program (PMD) from Sriwijaya University over three days using a participatory method and involved 18 village officials. Pre-test results showed that only 22.2% of participants understood how to use Google Forms. After the training, post-test results indicated a significant increase in understanding, with 88.8% of participants demonstrating improved digital literacy. In addition to accelerating service delivery, Google Forms also ensures data security through encryption and access control features, increasing public trust in the system. This program has received strong support from both the local government and the community and demonstrates a high potential for replication in other areas. With plans for ongoing training involving village heads as information dissemination agents, this initiative shows promising sustainability. This innovation not only addresses the challenge of efficient public service delivery but also strengthens the role of technology in fostering an inclusive and adaptive digital transformation in rural governance.
