Pelatihan Penggunaan Aplikasi Reference Manager Dalam Peningkatan Kualitas Artikel Ilmiah Bagi Mahasiswa

Abstract

The use of reference manager applications aims to improve the quality of writing scientific articles, especially in terms of accurate and efficient reference management. With the use of this technology, it is hoped that it can focus more on producing works that are not only in accordance with academic standards but are also easier to understand, well-structured, and relevant. However, many students often experience various obstacles in writing scientific articles, such as low motivation, difficulties in managing references, and limitations in academic writing techniques. To answer these challenges, community service activities are carried out in the form of offline training on the use of reference manager applications such as Mendeley and Zotero, which are attended by final-year students. This training aims to assist students in compiling bibliographies systematically and efficiently. The results of the training show that students have high enthusiasm and are able to operate the application well, and real contributions are obtained through this activity in improving the quality and quantity of student scientific writing and publications. It is hoped that such training can be carried out on an ongoing basis.
